The FRITZ!Box 4040 can transmit a Wi-Fi wireless network in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. It uses the Wi-Fi 5 standard - IEEE 802.11 b/g/n in 2.4 GHz and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac in 5 GHz. The maximum theoretical wireless throughput is 1300 Mb/s - 400 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 867 Mb/s in 5 GHz.

The offered speed is completely sufficient for the comfortable use of Internet resources and demanding applications, such as high-resolution online movies.

5 gigabit Ethernet ports, 2 USB ports

The device has been equipped with 5 gigabit Ethernet ports, including 1 WAN port and 4 LAN ports. You can connect them to your internet source with a standard Ethernet cable.

In addition, it has 2 USB ports - one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0. You can use them to connect a printer, external memory or LTE modem.

WLAN Mesh

The router is compatible with FRITZ! Wi-Fi Mesh. With the help of several devices, you are able to build a large Wi-Fi network that will cover a large area. Individual devices communicate with each other wirelessly, without the need for additional Ethernet cabling. The user sees only one network - he does not have to switch manually between individual points.

The FRITZ!Box is the hub/heart of the Mesh system. If you want to expand your network, you can buy a FRITZ!Repeater (signal repeater) or FRITZ!Powerline, which can use the electrical network for data transmission.

FRITZ!App Fon

With the FRITZ!App Fon you can use your smartphone or tablet as a VoIP phone. This feature is very useful when working remotely. You can use your smartphone as a desk phone for business calls, with full compatibility with hands-free kits.
