RouterBOARD hAP ax2 is the first MikroTik wireless router using the IEEE 802.11ax protocol (Wi-Fi 6). It can work in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously, in both it supports 2x2 MIMO (dual-chain). Thanks to this, the maximum theoretical throughput of the wireless connection is 574 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mb/s in 5 GHz. The new hAP has RouterOS with a Level 4 license, the heart of the device is the quad-core IPQ-6010 processor clocked at 864 MHz. The device is equipped with 1 GB of RAM and 128 MB of built-in memory.
The offered product has 5 gigabit Ethernet ports, the first of which can be used as PoE input or output (passive, maximum 600 mA). The input voltage range is 18 - 28 V DC using PoE or 12 - 28 V DC using DC jack. The maximum power consumption is 27 W. The device has a housing that can be mounted vertically or horizontally, well known from older hAP models.
Wi-Fi 6 AX1800
RouterBOARD hAP ax2 is the first MikroTik router using the modern Wi-Fi 6 standard. It can work in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously, in accordance with the standards IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ ax and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax. In both bands, it supports dual polarization (2x2 MIMO / dual-chain), thanks to which the maximum theoretical throughput is 1201 Mb/s in 5 GHz and 574 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz. The router also uses a number of features related to the 802.11ax protocol - MU-MIMO (simultaneous transmitting and receiving data from multiple devices), Beamforming and WPA3 encryption.
Powerful ARM processor, RouterOS Level 4
The offered product is equipped with an IPQ-6010 processor (4 cores, 816 MHz frequency) and 1 GB of RAM. Provides high routing efficiency, can easily be used as the main router in a home or small business, even in the case of advanced configuration. It was equipped with the RouterOS system with the Level 4 license.
5 gigabit Ethernet ports, various power options
The router is equipped with 5 gigabit Ethernet ports that ensure high bandwidth of the cable connection. There is PoE input or output on the first port, you can use whatever function you need at the moment. The device supports passive PoE, with a voltage of 18 - 28 V DC. Using the PoE output, the maximum power per port is 600 mA, which is approximately 14.4 W at nominal voltage. You can also power the router via the DC socket (voltage range 12 - 28 V). The set includes a regular 24 V / 1.2 A switching power supply.
Multiple uses
MikroTik hAP ax2 will be perfect for many locations. High WiFi bandwidth ensures high local connection speed, so you can get fast transfer between individual devices. This is very useful when using a NAS or file server. Thanks to this, hAP ax2 will be perfect for home applications, especially in a situation where you need advanced management. On the other hand, you can successfully use it in a small company, it can easily handle several / a dozen workstations and additional devices. It will allow for efficient traffic management and remote connection via VPN.
Modern housing
The housing can be mounted vertically or horizontally, in the set you will find a special stand that allows you to place the router. Additionally, you can mount the hAP ax2 on the wall with the use of dowels, which are also included in the set. The housing is similar to that used in older devices from the hAP series, but a few details have been changed.
