Mercusys ME70X is a Wi-Fi 6 compatible wireless repeater. It uses IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax in 2.4 GHz and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax in 5 GHz. The maximum theoretical throughput of Wi-Fi networks is 1800 Mb/s - 574 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mb/s in 5 GHz. You can connect the ME70X to a network advertised by any device, regardless of manufacturer. The wireless network signal will be properly strengthened, thanks to which the transmission range will increase. An additional advantage is the use of external antennas, which provide better range than competing solutions with built-in antennas.
The offered product has 1 gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mbps), to which you can connect devices that do not support Wi-Fi communication. ME70X supports AP (Access Point) mode, using this mode you can create a new independent wireless network.
Wi-Fi 6 AX1800 wireless network
The device is compatible with Wi-Fi 6 and can operate simultaneously on the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. It utilizes IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax protocols in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 574 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band and 1201 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band. ME70X provides higher speed and lower latency compared to solutions that use the older Wi-Fi 5 standard.
Extend your Wi-Fi
The offered product is designed to extend an existing Wi-Fi network. It comes with two high-gain omni-directional external antennas, significantly increasing the coverage area and eliminating dead zones. It is best suited for locations where you are utilizing Wi-Fi 6, but it is backward compatible with Wi-Fi 4/Wi-Fi 5 standards. It doesn't matter what device you are using as the main router; ME70X can be used with a device from any manufacturer.
Adaptive Path Selection (APS) technology
APS allows for the selection of an optimal route and operating band at any given moment. It ensures the best possible signal, throughput, and latency for a particular user. Individual receivers can be shifted between bands as necessary, eliminating the issue of excessive load on any one band. ME70X is capable of achieving the full throughput offered by the Wi-Fi 6 standard.
Simple configuration
You can perform the configuration using the WPS button located on the side of the casing. Pressing it on both the router and the signal booster will establish the connection. Once the connection is established, the device is ready to use.
On the front of the casing, there is an LED light indicating the quality of the connection. If the LED is shining blue, it means the ME70X is positioned too far from the router, and you should consider changing its location.
Two operation modes
The primary operating mode of the ME70X is as a signal booster (range extender), where the device extends an existing wireless network. It also supports an access point mode, enabling you to create a new network. To do this, you would need to supply the signal through an Ethernet cable, as the ME70X is equipped with a built-in Gigabit port (10/100/1000 Mb/s).
Mercusys app
The Mercusys application is available on mobile devices running Android/iOS systems. It significantly simplifies the configuration of new devices, allowing you to monitor the network status and fully manage it. You can observe the Wi-Fi status in real-time and control which users are connecting to your network.
