MikroTik LHG XL 5 ax is a complete wireless device designed to operate in the 5 GHz band. It supports IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax (Wi-Fi 6) protocols, offering significantly higher performance than older 802.11ac solutions. It features an integrated 27 dBi grid antenna with a diameter of 55 cm, making it ideal for connecting clients in the most challenging conditions. It is also naturally suited for long-distance point-to-point (PTP) connections. The device is equipped with a dual-core ARM processor clocked at 800 MHz and 256 MB of RAM, delivering high performance. It includes one Gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mbps), which also serves as the PoE input (passive, 12–28 V DC). The package includes a compatible power supply and PoE injector. The enclosure is fully designed for outdoor use and pole mounting.
Complete 5 GHz Wireless Device, 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6)
The offered product is a complete wireless device consisting of a radio integrated with an antenna. It is designed to operate in the 5 GHz band and supports the IEEE 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) protocol. It provides higher modulation and better frequency utilization (more bits per Hz) than the older 802.11ac protocol. This translates into improved throughput, especially in challenging conditions where you are forced to use narrower channel widths. An additional advantage is WPA3 encryption, which enhances connection security.
The device features a dual-core ARM processor clocked at 800 MHz and 256 MB of RAM. These components ensure high performance and stable operation, even when using advanced configurations.

27 dBi Antenna
The manufacturer has used a grid antenna with a gain of 27 dBi, a design well known from other solutions in the LHG series. In point-to-point connections, according to the manufacturer’s data, it enables transmission over distances of up to 30 km. It also performs well in point-to-multipoint setups, especially when connecting subscribers in the most challenging conditions—those located far from the base station or in areas with heavy interference. The antenna is integrated with the radio, and the device has no pigtails, which helps avoid unnecessary signal loss.
Gigabit Ethernet Port, PoE Power Supply
The LHG XL 5 ax features one Gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mbps), which also serves as the PoE power input. The input voltage range is 12–28 V DC, and the maximum power consumption is only 5 W. The package includes a compatible power supply and an appropriate PoE injector. The device cannot be powered by any method other than PoE.

For Outdoor Use
The device is fully designed for outdoor installation and operation. It is protected against water and dust ingress and is made from UV-resistant materials. The package includes a mounting kit that allows the LHG XL 5 ax to be installed on a pole.
