MikroTik CRS812 DDQ is the first switch from the Latvian manufacturer equipped with QSFP56-DD interfaces. The device features exactly 2 QSFP-DD slots (400 Gb/s), 2 QSFP56 slots (200 Gb/s), 8 SFP56 slots (50 Gb/s), and 2 10G Ethernet ports. This translates into extremely high total throughput that other solutions cannot match. All interfaces support speed negotiation, which significantly increases the flexibility of the switch. Like other solutions in the CRS series, the device offers full Layer 3 management in the same way as all MikroTik routers. The manufacturer has equipped it with a quad-core AL52400 processor clocked at 2000 MHz and 4 GB DDR4 RAM. The CRS812 DDQ delivers high performance, but it should be remembered that this is a switch, not a router. The device comes in a 19" rackmount enclosure, with 4 hot-swap fan modules and 2 hot-swap AC power supplies inside. The maximum power consumption of the switch itself is 81 W.
Managed Switch from the CRS Series
The offered product is a managed switch that comes with a fully functional RouterOS v7 and a Level 6 license. This allows the use of advanced features and tools provided by MikroTik’s system. The management level offered by the CRS series far exceeds the capabilities of competing solutions. The CRS812 DDQ is equipped with a quad-core AL52400 processor clocked at 2 GHz and 4 GB of DDR4 RAM. It stands out for its performance, but during configuration, it should be remembered that this is a switch, not a router.

2 QSFP-DD Slots (400 Gb/s), 2 QSFP56 Slots (200 Gb/s), 8 SFP56 Slots (50 Gb/s)
The switch features 2 QSFP-DD slots with throughput of up to 400 Gb/s, 2 QSFP56 slots with 200 Gb/s, and 8 SFP56 slots with 50 Gb/s. The ability to establish connections at such high speeds makes the CRS812 DDQ a highly flexible device suitable for a wide range of applications. Each interface supports automatic link speed negotiation: QSFP-DD / QSFP56 ports down to 40 Gb/s, and 10G Ethernet / SFP56 ports down to 1 Gb/s. Thanks to backward compatibility, this product is an excellent choice for network or server room upgrades, allowing older devices to be connected without compatibility concerns.
19" Rack Enclosure, Hot-Swap Power Supplies and Fan Modules
The device’s enclosure is designed for installation in a 19" rack. Due to its size and weight, it must be mounted on both sides using 4 rails. The manufacturer has implemented hot-swap fan modules and power supplies, which can be replaced without interrupting the operation of the device. The input voltage range is 100–240 V AC, and the maximum power consumption of the switch itself is 81 W.

Applications
Thanks to its advanced management features and very high throughput, the CRS812 DDQ is suitable for a wide range of applications. It performs exceptionally well as a core switch in campus networks and as an aggregation switch in ISP (operator) networks. Due to its ultra-high-speed interfaces, it is also an excellent choice for other use cases such as server rooms and data centers.
