Power Down Idle Ports
Traditional network switches consume a substantial amount of power on ports even when the connected devices are turned off. The TL-SG1005 switch automatically detects the link status of each port and reduces the power consumption of inactive ones.

Power Budget According to Cable Length
In theory, using shorter cables should consume less energy due to lower power degradation over their length. However, most devices consume the same amount of power regardless of cable length. The TL-SG1005 analyzes the length of the connected cables and adjusts the power consumption of the ports accordingly.
