MikroTik Chateau LTE18 ax is a wireless router supporting the modern Wi-Fi 6 standard. It can work in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously, supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax protocols. It supports dual polarization (2x2 MIMO / dual-chain), thanks to which it allows to obtain the maximum theoretical WiFi throughput of 574 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mb/s in 5 GHz. The device also supports other functions related to Wi-Fi 6 - MU-MIMO (simultaneous transmitting and receiving data from multiple devices), Beamforming and WPA3 - the latest data encryption standard.
The router has a built-in LTE category 18 modem. It allows aggregation of up to 4 bands, so you can theoretically get up to 1200 Mb/s when downloading data and up to 150 Mb/s when sending. Under the right conditions, it allows for high bandwidth, sufficient even for demanding users.
The offered product is equipped with a quad-core ARM IPQ-6010 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. Thanks to this, it is distinguished by high efficiency and can easily cope with routing, even in the case of using an advanced configuration. One 2.5G Ethernet port and 4 gigabit Ethernet ports were used. The port with a capacity of 2500 Mb/s allows you to connect to a network with a higher bandwidth or connect a demanding device, e.g. a server or NAS.
LTE cat 18
The device is equipped with a category 18 LTE modem that enables aggregation of up to 4 LTE bands. The maximum theoretical throughput is 1200 Mb/s when downloading data and 150 Mb/s when uploading. The router supports the most popular frequencies and is also compatible with the older 3G standard. Such a large bandwidth is enough for most home applications, even for demanding users.
Wi-Fi 6 AX1800
The offered product can transmit a WiFi wireless network in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax and 2x2 MIMO (dual-chain) protocols. As a result, the maximum theoretical throughput is 574 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band and 1201 Mb/s in 5 GHz. The router also uses MU-MIMO (simultaneous transmitting and receiving data from several devices), Beamforming (beamforming) and modern WPA3 encryption.
2.5G Ethernet port
Chateau LTE18 ax has a 2.5G Ethernet port and 4 gigabit Ethernet ports. The use of a 2500 Mb/s interface allows you to use a WAN connection with high bandwidth, if this is possible by your operator. You can also connect to this port other devices that require a lot of network bandwidth, such as a server or NAS. An additional advantage is the use of a USB port, which further extends the router's capabilities.
Advanced management, multiple uses
Thanks to the RouterOS system, the offered product provides a wide range of configuration options. You can create your own firewall rules, create a VPN server or use the automatic provisioning of TR-069. All this makes the Chateau LTE18 ax a perfect device for the home user and mobile operator. The first of them will be able to create an advanced and efficient local network, the second will be able to efficiently manage their clients' devices, and thus seamlessly develop the network.
