MikroTik Chateau 5G ax is a wireless router supporting the modern Wi-Fi 6 standard. It can work in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously, supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax protocols. It supports dual polarization (2x2 MIMO / dual-chain), thanks to which it allows to obtain the maximum theoretical WiFi throughput of 574 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mb/s in 5 GHz. The device also supports other functions related to Wi-Fi 6 - MU-MIMO (simultaneous transmitting and receiving data from multiple devices), Beamforming (beamforming) or WPA3 - the latest data encryption standard.
The router has a built-in, modern 5G modem. It allows aggregation of up to 4 bands (4x4 MIMO), which allows for theoretical throughput of 5 Gb/s download / 650 Mb/s using 5G NSA or 4.2 Gb/s download / 900 Mb/s sending using 5G SA. In the right location, you can thus get a very large amount of bandwidth.
The offered product is equipped with a quad-core ARM IPQ-6010 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. Thanks to this, it is distinguished by high efficiency and can easily cope with routing, even in the case of using an advanced configuration. One 2.5G Ethernet port and 4 gigabit Ethernet ports were used. The port with a capacity of 2500 Mb/s allows you to connect to a network with a higher bandwidth or connect a demanding device, e.g. a server or NAS.
5G modem
The device is equipped with a 5G modem that can work in SA and NSA networks. The maximum theoretical throughput of 5G SA is 4.2 Gb/s when downloading data and 900 Mb/s when uploading, while 5G NSA's throughput is 5 Gb/s when downloading and 650 Mb/s when uploading. The router is also backwards compatible with 3G and 4G standards. Supports LTE Cat. 20, which allows a theoretical throughput of 2 Gb/s for data download and 200 Mb/s for upload.
Wi-Fi 6 AX1800
The offered product can broadcast a WiFi wireless network in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax and 2x2 MIMO (dual-chain) protocols. As a result, the maximum theoretical throughput is 574 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band and 1201 Mb/s in 5 GHz. The router also uses MU-MIMO (simultaneous transmitting and receiving data from several devices), Beamforming and modern WPA3 encryption.
2.5G Ethernet port, M.2 slot
The Chateau 5G ax has a 2.5G Ethernet port and 4 gigabit Ethernet ports. The use of a 2500 Mb/s interface allows you to use a WAN connection with high bandwidth, if this is possible by your operator. You can also connect to this port other devices that require a lot of network bandwidth, such as a server or NAS. An additional advantage is the use of a USB port, which further extends the capabilities of the router, and an M.2 slot for connecting a hard drive.
Advanced management, multiple uses
Thanks to the RouterOS system, the offered product provides a wide range of configuration options. You can create your own firewall rules, create a VPN server or use the automatic provisioning of TR-069. All this makes the Chateau 5G ax a perfect device for the home user and mobile operator. The first of them will be able to create an advanced and efficient local network, the second will be able to efficiently manage their clients' devices, and thus seamlessly develop the network.
