Ubiquiti U6-IW is an access point adapted to work under the control of the UniFi system. It supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard, it can transmit a wireless network in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. It uses the protocols IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax in 5 GHz. The maximum theoretical throughput of a wireless connection is 573.5 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 4800 Mb/s in 5 GHz. The device has been adapted for installation on an existing electrical box. Perfect for companies where you need access to an advanced Wi-Fi network and multiple Ethernet ports in the room.
The access point has 1 gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 Mb/s port on the back of the housing, which is used for both PoE power input and WAN port. In the lower part of the housing there are 4 gigabit Ethernet ports 10/100/1000 Mb/s, the first of which can be used for PoE output. The maximum PoE output power is 15.4 W, to use the PoE output, you must provide the input power in the IEEE 802.3at (PoE +) standard.
UniFi Network
The offered product works under the control of UniFi software. UniFi enables centralized management of multiple devices from one application. It was designed mainly for building a hotspot network consisting of access points, but also supports monitoring systems - the "Protect" series. With UniFi, you can build in a large network and then control it from one system. Thanks to this, every change of configuration, hotspot settings or firmware update is instant. The UniFi application is completely free, you can download it to your computer or as an application for mobile devices.
Wi-Fi 6 AX5400 wireless network
U6-IW can transmit wireless network in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. It supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard - IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols at 2.4 GHz and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax at 5 GHz. The maximum theoretical transmission bandwidth is 5400 Mb/s - 574 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 4800 Mb/s in 5 GHz. U6-IW has built-in omnidirectional antennas, which have an energy gain of 5 dBi in the 2.4 GHz band and 5.9 dBi in 5 GHz.
Wall mounting, PoE input
The device has been adapted for wall mounting on an electrical box. There is 1 Gigabit Ethernet port on the back, which also serves as a PoE power input. Thanks to this, the cable that you lead to the device is hidden, after mounting outside you can only see the access point.
4 gigabit LAN ports, PoE output
In the lower part of the housing there are 4 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s). The first one can also be used as a PoE power output, to which you can connect, for example, an IP phone. To use the PoE output on the input, you must provide power in the 802.3at (PoE+) standard. There is no power supply included in the set.
Modern security, up to 300 clients
The offered product supports the latest security standards, including WPA3 encryption. It allows you to create up to 8 networks (8 BSSIDs) and connect up to 300 clients simultaneously. U6-IW is perfect for companies, it also provides access to a modern Wi-Fi network and many Ethernet ports.
