IP-COM G1118P-16-250W is a switch equipped with 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports 10/100/1000 Mb/s and 2 SFP slots (1 Gb/s). On all Ethernet ports there is a PoE power output in the IEEE 802.3af/at standard. The maximum power per port, in accordance with the standard, is 30 W, the total power budget is 230 W. Thanks to the use of SFP slots, the switch is perfect for distant locations that cannot be connected with a standard Ethernet cable. The device provides high transmission capacity and a large power budget, it is perfect for powering many access points. The offered product is distinguished by good overvoltage protection, its total switching capacity is 36 Gb/s, and the packet forwarding speed is 26.8 Mp/s.
16 gigabit Ethernet ports 10/100/1000 Mb/s, 2 SFP slots 1 Gb/s
The switch is equipped with 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports 10/100/1000 Mb/s and 2 SFP slots (1 Gb/s). There is a PoE power output on all Ethernet ports. The use of two SFP slots allows for cascade connection of switches within one network. The use of a fiber optic cable also allows you to connect the G1118P-16-250W to a greater distance than when using an Ethernet cable.
An additional advantage is surge protection at the level of 6 kV, which protects all Ethernet ports and the power supply.
16 PoE outputs, 250 W power budget
On 16 Ethernet ports there is a PoE power output in the IEEE 802.3af/at standard. The maximum power, according to the standard, is 15.4 W for 802.3af devices and 30 W for 802.3at devices. This type of power supply is widely used in ICT devices, monitoring systems and VoIP phones.
The maximum PoE power budget (for all ports) is 230 W. It should be enough to power 16 access points (depending on their maximum power consumption) or 16 IP cameras.
Four operating modes
IP-COM G1118P-16-250W does not have any management, but has been equipped with four operating modes. You can change the mode with a physical switch located on the front of the housing.
Modes:
- "Standard" - the device works like a regular switch, all ports can communicate with each other.
- "Priority" - ports 15, 16, SFP1 and SFP2 are used as uplink ports, ports 1 - 8 are set to high priority. All ports can communicate with each other.
- "Extend" - the bandwidth of ports 9 - 14 is reduced to 10 Mb/s, but their range is increased to 250 m. All ports can communicate with each other.
- 'VLAN" - ports 1 - 14 are separated and can only communicate with ports 15, 16, SFP1 and SFP2.
The offered product, thanks to gigabit Ethernet ports, is best suited for powering access points. The supported power budget will be enough to connect multiple devices, and the bandwidth of the ports will not limit the possibilities of Wi-Fi.
