MikroTik hAP ax3 is a wireless router supporting the Wi-Fi 6 standard. It can work in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously, in both it supports 2x2 MIMO (dual-chain). It uses the protocols IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax (2.4 GHz) and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax (5 GHz), the maximum theoretical throughput of the wireless connection is 1800 Mb/s - 574 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mb/s at 5 GHz. The device has a RouterOS system with a Level 6 license, the product is based on a quad-core IPQ-6010 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz (ARM 64-bit architecture). In addition, the router is equipped with 1 GB of RAM and 128 MB of built-in memory (NAND).
The offered product has 1 2.5G Ethernet port and 4 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s). The 2.5GE port can additionally be used as an input or output PoE, supports passive PoE in the range of 18 - 28 V DC. The maximum power consumption is 15 W (not including PoE output).
The hAP ax3 router is distinguished from the cheaper version hAP ax2 with the 2.5G Ethernet port, the Level 6 license and a much more powerful processor. The device will be much more efficient in routing, it will be perfect for homes and small businesses. An additional advantage is the use of external omnidirectional antennas, which, if necessary, can be replaced with stronger ones.
Wireless network Wi-Fi 6 AX1800
MikroTIk hAP ax3 can transmit a wireless network in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. It uses the standards IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax (2.4 GHz) and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax (5 GHz), in both bands it supports double polarization (2x2 MIMO / dual-chain). The maximum theoretical WiFi throughput is 1800 Mb/s - 574 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mb/s in 5 GHz. It is the speed that allows you to comfortably use the Internet, including downloading large files and watching video content in high definition. Wi-Fi 6 also introduces other useful features - MU-MIMO (simultaneous transmitting and receiving data from multiple users), Beamforming and WPA3 - the latest data encryption standard.
Efficient CPU, RouterOS system with Level 6 license
The offered product has a quad-core IPQ-6010 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz (ARM 64bit architecture). Thanks to this, the router is much more efficient than hAP ax2, it provides higher throughput in routing, especially in advanced configuration. The device has 1 GB of RAM and 128 MB of built-in memory (NAND). The RouterOS system with the highest license - Level 6 was used. Thanks to this, when configuring hAP ax3 you are not limited in any way by the license, you can take advantage of all the functions.
1x 2.5G Ethernet, 4x gigabit Ethernet
The use of 2.5G Ethernet ports is one of the greatest advantages of hAP ax3. This allows you to take your network to a new, higher level and ensure a very efficient connection. You will benefit from this performance primarily in the office, but you can also use it in your home network if you use demanding devices, such as a file server. 4 gigabit ports allow you to connect the most important devices, such as a computer or console, with a cable.
Large Wi-Fi range
In the hAP ax3 router, the manufacturer used two external omnidirectional antennas with an energy gain of 3.3 dBi in the 2.4 GHz band and 5.5 dBi in the 5 GHz band. They provide a large transmission range and coverage of dead zones with the signal.
High-quality antennas were used to ensure a stable, high gain in the entire supported frequency. An additional advantage is the possibility of unscrewing them and replacing them with stronger ones, if necessary.
PoE In / Out on first port
You can power the router using the PoE input or the DC socket. Passive PoE is supported, the input voltage range is 18 - 28V DC. When using the DC jack, the voltage range is 12 - 28 V DC. Additionally, the Ether1 port, apart from the input, can also be used as a PoE output. The output supports passive PoE, the maximum current is 0.625 A (up to 15 W). The total power consumption of the router itself can reach 15 W, when using the PoE output, the consumption can increase to 38 W.
Multiple uses
MikroTik hAP ax3 can be used as the main router in many different locations. It combines efficient routing with high bandwidth WiFi and cable connection. Thanks to this, it will be a perfect solution for home networks used by demanding users and in small offices. In a corporate network, it can be used as an all-in-one solution - as the main router and access point at the same time.
