The Ubiquiti U7 Pro is the first UniFi access point utilizing Wi-Fi 7, designed to operate in the 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz bands simultaneously. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax in the 2.4 GHz band, IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax/be in the 5 GHz bands, and IEEE 802.11 ax/be in the 6 GHz band. The maximum theoretical transmission throughput is 688 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz, 2882 Mb/s in 5 GHz, and 5765 Mb/s in 6 GHz. The utilization of the new 802.11be protocol ensures higher speeds compared to Wi-Fi 6E networks, which also use three bands. Achieving such high throughput is possible through the use of twice the channel width—up to 320 MHz—and higher modulation—4096QAM (older standards used 1024QAM). Wi-Fi 7 introduces additional features, with Multi-Link Operation (MLO) being one of the most significant. MLO allows simultaneous connection of a client device to the access point in all three bands. In older standards, depending on signal quality, you were connected to only one band that was optimal at that moment. Another advantage is the Multi-Resource Units (MRU) technology, improving channel utilization. In earlier standards, if interference occurred, a portion of the band could be wasted if the interference happened, for example, in the middle of the band. Thanks to MRU, the device can utilize a larger portion of the channel, even the part that comes after the interference.
The access point comes with an enclosure suitable for ceiling or wall mounting, and the package includes an appropriate bracket and mounting anchors. The device is equipped with 1 port of 2.5G Ethernet (2500 Mb/s), providing higher throughput than Gigabit Ethernet and allowing for the utilization of the high speed offered by Wi-Fi. Simultaneously, this port serves as the Power over Ethernet (PoE) input in the 802.3at (PoE+) standard. The maximum power consumption is 21 W, and the power supply is not included in the package. Built-in omnidirectional antennas handle wireless transmission, with a gain of 4 dBi in the 2.4 GHz band, 6 dBi in the 5 GHz band, and 5.8 dBi in the 6 GHz band.

UniFi Network
The offered product operates under the control of UniFi software. UniFi enables centralized management of multiple devices from a single application. It is primarily designed for building extensive hotspot networks consisting of access points but also supports monitoring systems like the "Protect" series. With UniFi, you can create a comprehensive network and then control it from a unified system. This allows for rapid configuration changes, hotspot settings, or firmware updates. The UniFi application is entirely free, available for download on computers, or as a mobile application.
Wi-Fi 7 wireless network
The device supports the Wi-Fi 7 standard and can transmit wireless networks in the 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz bands. It utilizes IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols in the 2.4 GHz band, IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax/be in the 5 GHz band, and IEEE 802.11 ax/be in the 6 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 688 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz, 2882 Mb/s in 5 GHz, and 5765 Mb/s in 6 GHz. Such high speeds are achievable through the use of wider channels and higher modulation compared to Wi-Fi 6/6E devices. The U7 Pro supports channels up to 320 MHz in width and modulation of 4096QAM.
The Wi-Fi 7 standard also introduces features and technologies that further improve transmission quality. Multi-Link Operation (MLO) enables the connection to a client device using all three bands simultaneously. In older standards, a user was connected to only one band at a time. Multi-Resource Units (MRU) allow for better channel utilization in the presence of interference. In older standards, the detection of interference in a channel would result in signal interruption, thus utilizing only a portion of the channel. With MRU, the device can use the frequency even after interference occurs.
Integrated omnidirectional antennas
The U7 Pro is equipped with integrated omnidirectional antennas. The gain is 4 dBi in the 2.4 GHz band, 6 dBi in the 5 GHz band, and 5.8 dBi in the 6 GHz band. The device provides good transmission range and adequate signal coverage without dead zones. According to the manufacturer, the U7 Pro can cover an area of 140 m²; however, it's important to note that this value depends on local conditions, including the number of obstacles.
2.5G Ethernet port, PoE in
The device is equipped with a 2.5G Ethernet port (2500 Mb/s), which simultaneously serves as the Power over Ethernet (PoE) input. It provides a higher connection speed than a standard gigabit Ethernet port, enabling the utilization of the capabilities offered by Wi-Fi 7.
The U7 Pro supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) in the IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) standard. The maximum power consumption is 21 W.
Ceiling / wall mounting
In the package, you will find a mounting bracket that allows you to install the U7 Pro on the ceiling or wall. The access point can be mounted on both regular ceilings and various types of suspended ceilings. The kit also includes appropriate screws and mounting anchors.
Up to 300 clients simultaneously
The access point is capable of handling up to 300 clients simultaneously. It is designed for operation in large networks and challenging conditions. You can successfully use it in schools, universities, restaurants, or public spaces. Its high performance and the ability to connect multiple devices make it ideal for environments where the wireless network needs to accommodate numerous users.
