The Opton Signal Fire AI-5 is a fiber optic fusion splicer designed for SM, MM, DS, and NZDS fibers. It features core alignment and automatic fiber positioning using 4 motors. Typical splicing time is 8 seconds, and heating time is approximately 18 seconds. The splicer is equipped with an automatic heater that activates when a splice is inserted. The device offers 320x image magnification, allowing for precise fiber positioning. It is operated using a 5" TFT touchscreen, and additionally, there are 4 physical buttons located below the display. The manufacturer has included a universal holder compatible with pigtails, bare fibers, or thin drop cables. The set includes a 5200 mAh battery with a built-in DC socket, enabling charging outside the splicer without the need for an additional power supply. The splicer housing features special rubber protection that shields against mechanical damage as well as dust and moisture ingress. Included in the set are essential accessories such as a fiber cleaver, two types of strippers, a power adapter, and an alcohol container.
Fiber Optic Fusion Splicer, 300x Magnification, Core Alignment
The offered product is designed for splicing fiber optic cables using electric arc technology and is compatible with SM, MM, DS, and NZDS fibers. It provides core alignment and high precision. Fiber alignment is handled by six motors. The device offers 300x image magnification when displaying the X or Y axis, and 150x magnification when displaying both axes simultaneously.

Splicing time: 8 s, heating time: 18 s
The splicing time is approximately 8 seconds, and the sleeve heating time is 18 seconds. This gives a total cycle time of 26 seconds, which is fully sufficient for subscriber connection work. The heater operates automatically—once the splice is placed inside and the lid is closed, it begins working without the need to press any button.
5" Color Display, Easy Operation
The splicer is equipped with a 5" TFT color display. Device operation is managed using 4 physical buttons located just below the screen. Advanced features and configuration are accessible only through a mobile app available for Android/iOS devices. Thanks to the large physical buttons, initiating the splicing mode is quick and easy—even while wearing work gloves.

Universal Holders
The device features universal holders that can be used for splicing bare fibers of various sizes and diameters, pigtails, and drop-type cables. Additionally, the set includes a holder that allows for splicing SOC-type connectors.
5200 mAh Battery
The splicer is equipped with a 5200 mAh lithium-ion battery, which, according to the manufacturer, allows for approximately 160 splicing and heating cycles. The full battery charging time is up to 3.5 hours. The DC socket for connecting the power adapter is built directly into the battery housing. You can charge the battery either outside the splicer or while it is installed inside the device.

Built-in LED Light
At the front of the housing, there is a built-in LED light that facilitates work in low-light conditions. The light is activated with a separate button located right next to it.
Precision Diamond Blade
The set includes a precision diamond blade (cleaver) for cutting fiber optic cables. The cut is made at an angle of less than 0.8°. After the cut is made and the cover is reopened, the blade automatically returns to its starting position. A scrap container can be mounted on either side.
