The TP-Link Archer T5E is a PCI Express network card equipped with a WiFi and Bluetooth radio module. It can operate on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz}$ bands simultaneously, supporting IEEE 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz) / IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac (5 GHz) standards. It has 2 external, omnidirectional, dual-band antennas, which can also be unscrewed and replaced with versions of higher gain. This provides good transmission range. The Archer T5E is perfect for devices that do not natively have radio modules, in places where Bluetooth transmission is needed.
Even Faster Dual-Band Wireless Connections
The Archer T5E is a dual-band PCI Express network card under the 802.11ac standard, supporting wireless connections with a combined speed reaching 1167 Mb/s (867 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band and 300 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band), which splits the Wi-Fi signal into two bands to increase operational functionality. If you are only interested in browsing the web, writing emails, and following social media updates, connect to the 2.4 GHz band. However, if you are an avid gamer, download many files, or simply want to watch a film in good quality, choose the 5 GHz band.
