MikroTik Chateau LTE6 ax is a Wi-Fi 6 wireless router with a built-in LTE cat. 6 modem. It can work in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously, supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax (2.4 GHz) and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax (5GHz). Thanks to the use of double polarization (2x2 MIMO / dual-chain) and channels with a width of up to 80 MHz, the maximum theoretical Wi-Fi throughput is 1800 Mb / s - 574 Mb / s in the 2.4 GHz band and 1201 Mb.s in 5 GHz. The built-in LTE modem (FG621-EA) is backwards compatible with 3G standards. Category 6 transmission offers a theoretical throughput of 300 Mb/s when downloading data and 50 Mb/s when uploading.
The offered product is equipped with a quad-core ARM IPQ-6010 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. It is distinguished by very high efficiency, much higher than standard LTE solutions and the weaker Chateau LTE6 model. It can handle many users connected simultaneously, even with advanced configuration. The router has 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps), 1 2.5G Ethernet port (100 / 1000 / 2500 Mbps) and 1 USB 2.0 port. The 2.5G Ethernet port is very useful especially when you need to connect a device that requires high bandwidth, such as a NAS server. An additional advantage is the ability to connect external antennas / LTE antenna to improve coverage.
Wi-Fi 6 AX1800 wireless network
The device can transmit a wireless network in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously, in the modern Wi-Fi 6 standard. 5GHz. The maximum theoretical Wi-Fi throughput is 1800 Mb/s - 574 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mb/s in 5 GHz. The router is equipped with external antennas with a gain of 2 dBi (2.4 GHz) / 4 dBi (5 GHz).
Integrated Cat 6 LTE modem
The offered product has an integrated LTE cat. 6 modem. It supports a theoretical throughput of 300 Mb/s when downloading data and 50 Mb/s when uploading. Simultaneously aggregates 2 transmission bands, supports all bands popular in Europe. The device is also backwards compatible with the 3G standard.
1 2.5G Ethernet port, 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports, 1 USB port
The router has a 2.5G Ethernet port and 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports 10/100/1000 Mb/s. You can connect the most demanding devices, such as a NAS server, to the 2.5G port. The use of USB additionally expands the possibilities. You can use Chateau LTE6 ax as a standard router and connect the signal to it using an Ethernet cable. In this case, the LTE interface can be used as a backup connection, which will be used in the event of failure of the main connection.
Possibility to connect external LTE antennas
On the back of the housing you will find 2 SMA connectors, which are used to connect external LTE antennas. You can use HGO-LTE or a more powerful antenna, e.g. MTAO.
This capability is very useful in rural and suburban areas where the distance to the LTE mast can be considerable. Connecting an external antenna will significantly improve the range and thus the transmission quality.
High performance, RouterOS level 4 system
Compared to the competition, Chateau LTE6 ax stands out with its very high efficiency. It is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor clocked at 1.8 MHz and 1 GB of RAM. It provides much greater performance than ordinary LTE routers, it can handle even advanced configuration. Chateu LTE6 ax is a perfect solution for advanced users who, in addition to an efficient router with high capabilities, need a backup LTE connection.
The RouterOS system with a Level 4 license offers great management capabilities. You can use all the options known from MikroTika devices.
