The Mercusys MB230-4G is a wireless router with LTE Cat. 6 support. It aggregates two frequency bands, offering a maximum theoretical mobile data speed of 300 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads. The device supports Wi-Fi 5 and is compatible with IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical Wi-Fi throughput is 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 867 Mbps on 5 GHz. The nanoSIM slot is located on the side of the enclosure for easy access, allowing you to insert or replace the SIM card without opening the device. It is equipped with two Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps): one WAN/LAN and one LAN. The MB230-4G can operate as a standard router and use mobile data only as a backup in case of a primary connection failure. This product is an excellent solution for locations without access to traditional wired internet services. It is ideal for use in temporary shops or food trucks, during vacations, or in summer cottages.

LTE Cat. 6 Modem

The device supports LTE Cat. 6 mobile connectivity with carrier aggregation across two bands. The maximum theoretical data rates are 300 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads. The router is also backward compatible with the 3G standard.

NanoSIM Slot

The MB230-4G is equipped with a nanoSIM slot located on the side of the enclosure. Installing and later replacing the SIM card is easy and does not require opening the device.

The router can broadcast Wi-Fi 5 wireless networks, supporting IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac protocols in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical Wi-Fi throughput is 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 867 Mbps on 5 GHz. You can easily extend the mobile data connection to multiple devices, with support for up to 64 connected clients.

Long Range

The built-in high-gain LTE antennas provide a stable connection without intermittent signal loss. The router performs much better with mobile data transmission compared to a standard phone, making it ideal for areas where LTE signal access is challenging.

2 Gigabit Ethernet Ports, WAN Backup Function

The device is equipped with 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps), including 1 WAN/LAN port and 1 LAN port. Using the WAN port, you can connect the router to a primary internet source and use the mobile data connection only as a backup. In this configuration, the device will automatically switch to LTE mode if the main connection fails, ensuring uninterrupted internet access.

MERCUSYS App

The MERCUSYS app is available for mobile devices running Android and iOS. It allows you to fully configure your network without needing a computer—just your phone is enough for the initial setup. The app greatly simplifies managing Wi-Fi and mobile data as well as monitoring the router’s status. The software is user-friendly, so even inexperienced users will have no trouble getting their Wi-Fi up and running.
