HG8240H is a Huawei ONT GPON client terminal. It has 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 2 telephone ports (POTS). It has a class B + optical module (SC/APC), supports SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) and H.248 sound protocols. Enables multicast routing, uses IGMP Snooping v2 / v3, is protected against DoS attacks, allows MAC address filtering to increase security.

The device is authenticated on the network based on the serial number, password or serial number and password. The configuration and updating of the software can be done locally through the graphic interface in the web browser. It is also possible to remotely manage and update via the OMCI.
