SFP28 transceiver

The device is an SFP28 transceiver. It supports a bandwidth of 25 Gb/s, perfect for many applications. SFP28 modules are becoming more and more popular due to the good price-to-speed ratio. They provide much more bandwidth than SFP+ (10G), while being cheaper than QSFP+ (40G).

Singlemode fiber, range up to 10 km

The offered product is compatible with fiber optic cables equipped with Singlemode fiber. Thanks to this, it is possible to achieve a large transmission range.

The 25G-SM-WDM27-L10D transceiver has an optical power of -5 ~ 2 dBm and a reception sensitivity of up to -18 dBm. The maximum connection range is up to 10 km.

LC/UPC connector

The transceiver has standard LC/UPC connector.

One connector (WDM type)

The transceiver uses the WDM technology for transmission, it allows you to create a connection using only one optical fiber. Transmitting (Tx) and receiving (Rx) signals are conducted on two different channels (Tx 1270 nm / Rx 1330 nm respectively), so they do not interfere with each other.

Please note that to create a transmission you need a second transceiver that transmits at 1330 nm and receives at 1270 nm. You will find the appropriate device in "Related Products".

High compatibility

SFP28 Opton modules have been factory programmed for Cisco, but they can work with devices from all manufacturers that do not use the blockade of foreign transceivers. These are, for example: MikroTik, Ubiquiti, TP-Link, D-Link or Planet.

In the case of solutions in which the manufacturer uses a blockade of foreign transceivers (e.g. HP, Extreme Networks, Aruba), it is possible to program the SFP28 module by our service department. In case of doubt, you can contact us before purchasing.
