TP-Link Deco X10 is a wireless access point that supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard. It utilizes IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax protocols in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 300 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band and 1201 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band. Deco X10 has been designed for use in a Mesh network. It can connect to other access points to create a unified, extensive wireless network. The network is seen under a single name, and as you move between devices, you are automatically switched without losing signal. Individual access points in the network can be wirelessly connected to each other - there is no need to run additional Ethernet cables. Deco X10 features 2 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s), each supporting WAN / LAN with automatic detection of the connection type (maximum of 1 WAN at a time).
The product includes 2 access points.
Wi-Fi 6 AX1500 wireless network
The access point is designed to transmit wireless networks according to the Wi-Fi 6 standard. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax protocols in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 300 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band and 1201 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band. This speed is more than sufficient for most activities users engage in on the network, including streaming high-resolution videos. At the same time, the device provides greater throughput than older Wi-Fi 5 solutions.
MU-MIMO
The Deco X10 supports MU-MIMO (Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology, allowing it to simultaneously transmit and receive data from multiple devices. This eliminates the queuing of transmissions - in networks without MU-MIMO, each client had to wait for its connection, which often degraded network quality, especially with many users.
OFDMA
OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) technology allows for the simultaneous transmission of multiple data streams, enabling multiple users to access the network concurrently. Unlike older technologies where a single user can monopolize a channel, OFDMA efficiently divides the channel into smaller sub-channels, allowing them to be shared among multiple users simultaneously. This improves overall network efficiency and enhances the user experience, especially in environments with many connected devices.
Up to 120 devces simultaneously
The Deco X10 is capable of supporting up to 120 client devices simultaneously. This makes it well-suited for handling high loads that may arise in environments such as smart homes, where numerous devices are connected to the network. Whether it's smartphones, computers, sensors, printers, or smart appliances, the Deco X10 can efficiently manage the demands of a diverse range of connected devices, ensuring a smooth and reliable network experience for users.
Long range
Devices from the Deco series operate together in a Mesh system, creating a single, extensive, unified wireless network. At any time, you can add another Deco access point to expand the coverage area even further. This scalability allows you to tailor the network to your specific needs, ensuring seamless connectivity throughout your home or office space.
Another advantage is the Beamforming feature, which shapes the signal beam to enhance coverage. Additionally, the BSS Coloring function helps distinguish frames of your network from those of neighboring networks, thereby improving resistance to interference.
AI algorythms
The operation of the Deco wireless network is supported by algorithms based on artificial intelligence. The device learns how users move around the house to switch them between access points in the best possible way. The network dynamically adjusts to various interferences. If the connection between two access points is disrupted, the Deco system will attempt to find an alternative connection to ensure you do not experience a decrease in Wi-Fi performance.
Seamless roaming
The Deco access points create a unified wireless network. Users see the network under one name, regardless of the number of bands or access points. The system automatically determines which device you are currently connected to in order to receive the best signal. This seamless transition occurs as you move between different access points.
Control your home network
The offered product features numerous management functions to help you control and monitor your network. Quality of Service (QoS) allows you to prioritize individual devices, ensuring their connection is optimal even during heavy network traffic. This is particularly important if you work remotely and want to ensure that other household devices don't interfere with your connection.
Parental control features enable you to block inappropriate content and monitor users' online time. You can create a network schedule and utilize periodic reports for monitoring purposes.
Deco application
The Deco app is available on mobile devices running Android or iOS. With it, you can perform the initial network setup and then manage it. The first setup is straightforward and doesn't require any prior experience from the user; the app will guide you through a few steps, after which the system will be ready to use.
Simple management
The app makes network setup very easy and intuitive. Additionally, you have access to monitor the network status at your fingertips at all times.
Voice control
The device is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, allowing you to control it using voice commands.
High compatibility
The Deco X10 is compatible with all other TP-Link Deco devices. Expanding an existing network is straightforward and doesn't require using access points of the same type.
