The Opton FOSC-R-144 is a dome-type fiber optic splice closure designed for outdoor installation on poles or walls. It features 6 trays, each capable of accommodating up to 24 splices, with a total capacity of 144 splices. The bottom part has 4 circular openings with a diameter of approximately 23 mm and 1 oval opening measuring 40 x 65 mm. Thermo type inputs are used; cables should be secured using heat shrink tubes, which are included in the kit. The bracket allows for mounting the closure on a pole (metal clamping straps are included) or a wall (two holes for mounting screws; screws need to be purchased separately).

Thermo type inputs/outputs

The closure utilizes thermo type inputs, and after cable installation, they should be secured using heat shrink tubes included in the kit. This method is safer than using chokes and is also universal - compatible with cables of various diameters. The 4 circular openings have a diameter of 23 mm each, and the oval opening measures 40 x 65 mm. By using the oval opening, you can pass more than one cable into the closure.

6 splice trays (max 144J)

Inside, you will find 6 splice trays, each capable of accommodating up to 24 protective sleeves, providing a total capacity of 144 fibers. Each tray can be swiveled to access another. Due to the external dimensions of the closure, large trays have been used, providing convenience during work and allowing space for cable reserves.

Wall or pole mount installation

The splice closure features a universal bracket that allows for two mounting options. In the kit, you will find 2 metal clamping straps for suspending it on a pole. Optionally, using two anchors (to be purchased separately), you can mount the closure on a wall. The product is made of UV-resistant plastic. The gasket protects the interior from water and dust ingress; cable inputs/outputs should be sealed independently. The height of the closure is 540 mm, and the diameter is 205 mm.
