SFP module supporting the CWDM technology. It is equipped with two LC / UPC connectors, it uses a 1610 nm wave. It has a transmitting power of 0 - 5 dBm and a reception sensitivity of -32 dBm, thanks to which the theoretical transmission range is about 120 km. The actual range depends on the attenuation, which introduces fiber optic cables, connectors and other network elements. The insert uses DDM to monitor work.
The CWDM technology enables the transmission of up to 18 channels to be combined. The channels are available from 1270 to 1610 nm with a spacing of 20 nm. The use of this type of transmission makes it possible to minimize the amount of fibers used, and thus reduce the costs associated with the fiber optic cable.
The most important features:
- LC / UPC connectors;
- wavelength: 1610 nm;
- transmit power (Tx): 0 - 5 dBm;
- reception sensitivity (Rx): -32 dBm;
- theoretical maximum transmission range: 120 km.
