EP2220 is an EPON OLT terminal equipped with 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports, 2 slots for SFP modules (for uplink), 2 PON slots (downlink) and management ports. The device is enclosed in a 1U Rack 19 " casing and is able to handle a maximum of 128 client terminals at a split of 1:64. The maximum data transmission range is 20 km and the port capacity of EPON is 1.25 Gbps.
The product offers a lot of management functions. It allows the monitoring and the configuration of ports, as well as the authentication of the connected client terminals. Each of the client terminals can be remotely managed and configured.
The advantage of the offered product is itssmall size and low price, as well as a low power consumption - only 25 W. It is well-suited for FTTx solutions, especially FTTH. A useful feature are various types of uplink ports.
