Description

Opton RF-WDM55-SA is an active CATV converter intended for the PON network. It can be used in both EPON and GPON technology . It has two SC / APC connectors, one OLT / EDFA signal is connected to the one connector and an ONU / ONT CPE terminal to the other. There is a passthrough between the ports, which bridges the signal transmitted by 1310 and 1490 nm channels (those used by the OLT terminal). The device itself operates on a 1550 nm wavelength and converts RF (antenna) fiber signal.

The offered product allows to connect the subscriber to the CATV without the need of using the ONT terminal with the RF connector. This is very useful for example in a situation where the client already has a regular terminal and decides to extend the contract. You do not need to mount a new terminal, just use the RF-WDM55-SA converter.

The RF output device transmits a wide signal: 47 - 862 MHz. The metal casing is protecting against the influence of internal disturbances, coming from, for example, mobile phones. The power (level) at the output is 82 dBμV (Pin -3 dBm with analogue TV, -5 dBm with digital TV). The range of the received optical power is 2 ~ -10 dBm.
