Opton 100GBASE-BX20-D is a QSFP28 module designed for use with Singlemode optical fibers. It offers very high bandwidth, up to 100 Gb/s as per the standard. Transmission can be conducted using a single optical fiber, with the module transmitting (Tx) at a wavelength of 1310 nm and receiving (Rx) at a wavelength of 1280 nm. The transmission power range is -4.3 to 4.5 dBm, and the reception sensitivity is -14.5 dBm, with a maximum range of 20 km. The module is originally programmed for Cisco and should be compatible with all devices that do not block third-party modules (D-Link, TP-Link, Planet, MikroTik, and others). Upon request, we can program optical modules to work with solutions from other manufacturers.
QSFP28 transceiver
The device is a QSFP28 fiber optic module that supports bandwidths of up to 100 Gb/s. It is ideal for creating main connections between different locations or devices within a single building. It offers significantly higher speeds compared to QSFP+ (40G) or SFP+ (10G) standards.
Singlemode Fiber, Range up to 20 km
The offered product is compatible with fiber optic cables equipped with Singlemode fiber, enabling long transmission distances.
The 100GBASE-BX20-D modules feature an optical power range of -4.3 to 4.5 dBm and a reception sensitivity of up to -14.5 dBm. The maximum connection range is 20 km, allowing you to connect distant locations, including between towns.
LC/UPC connector
The module uses a standard LC/UPC connector.
WDM (BIDI)
The module conducts transmission using a single optical fiber by utilizing two different channels (Tx 1310 nm, Rx 1280 nm). This is particularly useful in locations where you have access to a limited number of fibers or are leasing fiber.
It is important to note that to establish a transmission, you need a second module that transmits at 1280 nm and receives at 1310 nm. The corresponding device can be found in the "Related Products" section.
Wide Compatibility
Opton QSFP28 modules are factory-programmed for Cisco but can operate with devices from all manufacturers that do not block third-party modules. These include, for example, MikroTik, Ubiquiti, TP-Link, D-Link, and Planet.
For solutions where the manufacturer uses third-party module locks (e.g., HP, Extreme Networks, Aruba), the QSFP28 module can be programmed by our service department. If you have any doubts before purchasing, feel free to contact us.
